Reports to: Director of Clinical Services

Date: April 2012

As a member of PlatinumMed team, the Registered Massage Therapist will work out of the Burlington location (1122 International Blvd).
The therapist is required to evaluate and treat clients who are considered patients of the clinic.
The therapist will be considered an independent consultant who works on a fee for service model.

Job Duties:

• Maintain a proper treatment area.
• Perform necessary sanitation and hand washing procedures.
• Obtain the necessary consent for treatment (verbal and written).
• Ensure that a proper interview/history is taken of each client.
• Maintain record keeping and files as per the CMTO for client’s health record.
• Conducting Assessments and Reassessments under the proper timelines of clients.
• Pre- and post-treatment protocol.
• Recommend self-care.

Special Skills

• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Customer Focused.
• Member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and professional association.
• Maintain and have proof of proper liability insurance.
